Dar Kotaiba was established in Damascus (Syria), back in 1978, by its founder, Dr. Muhammad Sheikhani.

Since then, it has preserved a destiguished rank, among leading publishing houses in Syria, with a solemn stress on high-level standards. Only well proven writers and best written studies were chosen for publication, in many fields of knowledge: Islamic and Arab heritage, in particular; as well as other domains of human sciences.

During about a quarter of a century, the number of Dar Kotaiba’s publication list surpassed 400 titles .

Dar Kotaiba established also a subsidiary branch in Beirut (Lebanon), in 1985; in order to widen the span of its activities, as much as possible in the Arab World, as well as other parts of the globe.

In many occasions, Dar Kotaiba participated in over 100 international book fairs, held in Syria, Arab countries and all over the world.

Finally, our ultimate goal is to keep up the highest standards attainable in our editorial work, and to achieve more success as to the hardcore of our aim: The finest works of knowledge in the best graphic excellence!
